Hello again. Key West has long been known for its rich and iconic history as well as its charm, character and natural tropical beauty. Throughout the year, Key West plays host to dozens of events that have drawn visitors to this tropical paradise over and over again. Probably the most well-known event held in Key West is Fantasy Fest, a wild costume party which takes place typically over the last ten days of October.
The annual Ernest Hemingway look-alike contest takes place for a week in the month of July and draws visitors and contestants from all over the world. In November, the World Championships of Power Boat racing come to town for a week and put on a spectacular show for the masses In the waters in front of the World Famous Mallory Square. It’s something that, if you have the opportunity, you have to check out at least once. It will simply blow you away!
