Getting Married in Key West

Thinking about getting hitched anytime in the near future? If so, Key West is ranked #2 in the nation as a wedding destination and is one of the most romantic places on the planet to do it. Marjorie and I got married there in 2011 and it was one of the most romantic weddings that one could ever experience. We decided to charter out the “Schooner Western Union” for a two hour sunset cruise with Captain Lenn performing the ceremonies on board and it was simply one of the most fun and memorable experiences of our lives and way more affordable than you might think.

Call or go online for more details. The Western Union is a 130 foot, 2-masted wooden schooner docked behind Schooner Wharf Bar in the Historic Key West Bight. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and one of only two working wooden schooners in North America. The vessel can accommodate up to 65 passengers.

There are many ways and places in town in which to get married, whether it’s a simple, religious, a romantic beach wedding, at one of Key Wests many historic properties within a lush tropical garden landscape, getting hitched on the water, or anything in between, Key West offers a myriad of choices and locations in which you can say…” I Do”.
